Winter Trophy - Woodvale Golf Society

In our 13th year we introduced a Winter Stableford competition playing for the Purley Downs Cup. Paul Walker was the inaugural winner. The following year 1999, Keith Atkins won with 45 pts, the highest ever winning score. For the next 11 years a variety of other courses were our hosts with 2 events at Selsdon Park. Peter Hopkins had 2 wins in this period.

2012 saw the society return to Purley Downs, chiefly due to the fact that it's the best winter course around. Founder Steve Watson managed his 9th win in the event in 2016. Robin Archibald recently had 2 wins from 3 events. Stephen Maguire has just won back to back.
