Event 64 - Summer 2008 - Isle of Thanet

13th Summer Trip held on 6th/7th July 2008 

A  real struggle this Summer event with only five members instead of the normal dozen. Despite out worst ever weather for our Summer event, enjoyable nevertheless.

36-hole Stableford at Princes

Really tough playing conditions with the strongest wind we've ever had, coupled with rain and heavy wet rough. There were 45 lost balls over the 180 holes. Pammi Channa emerged victorious with both the best morning and afternoon scores for a 9 point victory 

Medal at North Foreland

 A strong on shore wind but relentless rain until the last few holes meant it was another day of tough scoring. Only two of the five broke the century with Steve Watson the winner with a net +9 playing off nine.
