Another struggle for numbers in 2009, at least our half a dozen gave us two three balls. Good weather on the Friday, drizzly on the Saturday. We stayed at a great b&b in Nomansland.
Ian Pearce won probably the closest Summer Stableford we've ever had. He top scored in the morning on the Forest course with 37 and a lead of two over John Fish & Steve Watson.
The afternoon Manor course was completely different, not a horse to be seen. Richard Walsh top scored with 35 followed by a trio on 33, including Ian. His winning margin was 2 points.
John Fish stormed to victory in the Medal with a 9 over par round playing off 14. The round included 8 pars and a birdie.
Richard Walsh was runner-up with a level par round of 69. Steve Watson was third on the countback, due to playing the back nine in one over.
