Event 89 - Spring 2016 - Tyrrells Wood

58th Golf Day held on 19^th May 2016 

A round dozen for Tyrrells wood played in fine weather. We had a first…… …the best score was from a guest, Roger Keep, a member at Tyrrells and guest of Peter H. He scored a very fine 35 points, not a blob on his card and halves of 17 & 18 points. The 12 handicapper managed six pars. Brendan Fahey was our other guest. He too scored pretty well with 31 and five pars. Our members didn’t find it quite so easy. Colin scored 14 on the front nine with a blob that would place him somewhere in the middle. A retched nine with 7 blobs saw him scoop the Booby prize. Shailen was third on 29. He started with 16 on the front nine including a birdie on the par 3 9^th. Just piping him on the countback was Richard. He birdied the 3^rd with a 3 but had blobs on 6,7,8 for 14. He scored one better on the inward nine. That leaves the winner who was Paul Jeanes who scored 30. He blobbed the 2^nd and the last but birdied the 12^th.amongst his fine 16 scoring holes. Paul has notched up his fifth win in the Stableford Trophy. In the other prizes Roger Keep won the nearest the pin at the fourth. The longest drive was held on the par 4 17^th and was won by Pammi Channa.
