On a very quirky course we were down to just eight players. Guest Peter Hessey (a recent past captain at Purley Downs) shot 34 points and won the nearest the pin for a very successful mornings golf. Lee Gillam was our third member on 31 with Steve Watson runner up on 32. Steve also took the longest drive. But it was Richard Walsh who finally cracked his duck.Despite two blobs he scored a fine 34 to win the members stableford trophy. It was his first win in 43 Stableford events and long overdue. Congratulations Richard.
